Benue music industry includes many of upcoming and popular musicians, some of which are known worldwide.
The styles of folk music are also related to the multitudes of ethnic groups in the state, each with their own techniques, instruments, and songs.
Infact many Benue artists are increasing becoming famous across Nigeria and Africa, they cut across a number of musical genre.
This list of Benue musicians include all music genres e.g. Rnb, Pop, Rap/Hiphop, Reggae, Naija, Rock, Blues, Jazz, Highlife and Gospel singers.

Innocent Ujah Idibia (born 18 September, 1975) known professionally as 2Baba, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, record producer and activist. He is a musician from Okpokwu local government area of Benue State.
The popularity of Nigerian pop music in the 2000s was largely due to 2Baba, and his solo album Face2Face, which features the smash song “African Queen,” helped to raise awareness and respect for Nigerian music among people in African continent, and diaspora.
Ahmedu Augustine Obiabo known professionally as Blackface or Blacface Naija is a Nigerian dancehall, reggae singer and songwriter who was born in Ogwule, Agatu, Benue State, Nigeria.
Blackface is most known for co-writing “African Queen” with 2Baba, a song that later became popular after it was included on 2Baba’s 2004 first solo album Face2Face and went on to become a worldwide hit song.
#3 Bella Alubo
Mabel Alubo, also known as Bella Alubo, is a singer, songwriter, and actress from Benue State. She was born on August 9, 1993. She was born and reared in the city of Jos, and her upbringing as a poet gave her the skills necessary to become a talented songwriter.
Bella Alubo is talented in the Afropop, R&B, and Reggae genres of music. Along with Ycee, she was previously signed to Tinny Entertainment.
#4 Chris Morgan
Chris Abah Ochogwu Morgan, better known by his stage name Chris Morgan, is a celebrated Nigerian gospel singer, composer, performer, multi-instrumentalist, and evangelist.
Chris Morgan was born on May 25, 1978. He is a self-thought musician from Orokam in Ogbadibo local government area of Benue State. Today, numerous congregations sing his songs Daily As I Live and Arabaribiti as anthems in many churches.
#5 OD Woods
OD Woods (born Andrew Orduen Ikon) is an Afro dance hall artiste, songwriter, and filmmaker from Benue State’s Guma local government area. In 2021, he soared to prominence when his song “Go Below,” produced by Shizzi, which features Davido and Vector became famous in Nigeria and beyond.
OD Woods is the founder and CEO of WoodHouse Entertainment, which he launched in 2016. He is also the founder, organiser, and headliner of the Made in Benue all White Party, an annual event held in Makurdi, the state capital of Benue, to commemorate the state’s people, culture, and heritage.
Afro-fusion artist Fanuchi, also known as Fanen Terseer, is from Benue State. Fanuchi was born in the Kwande local government area of Benue State, though we are unsure of the actual date of his birth.
His most well-known song, “Higher,” in which he collaborates with vocalist Raybekah from Lagos, was released with Transumute Records, where he is currently signed.
Slikish, real name Peter Aondohemba Emberga, is from Ikpayongo the Gwer-East local government area of Benue State.
In 2012, he discovered his musical talent. Aveko Records, an Abuja-based record company, has signed him at the moment. After the release of “Body Remix,” which included Peruzzi, he gained widespread notoriety. Slikish is one of the Benue musicians promoting Benue culture and heritage through his music.
#8 JJ DeBusta
JJ DeBusta (born Joseph Mlahaga) is a musician, lyricist, and entertainer from Vandeikya local government area of Benue state. He was born on 4th of September, 1998. DeBusta got his first record deal with Castle Black Music Empire, (CBMM).
One of the Benue musicians placing the Benue music business on the map is JJ DeBusta.
#9 Lady Pesh
Oryina Patience professionally known with her stage name Lady Pesh is a Nigerian singer, songwriter and entertainer from Konshisha local government area of Benue state.
Her music career kick start in 2013 and she won her first award (Best Female Rising Artist) in 2014. Pesh is currently signed to Supper Success Entertainment.
